The Model 'A' Ford Powered Pietenpol Air Camper
Grant MacLaren, editor of the Buckeye Pietenpol Association Newsletter, has produced a video tape describing the Model 'A' Ford Powered Pietenpol.
The video originated in the late 1980's -- during Howard Henderson's building of his award-winning Air Camper. Grant documented every step of Howard's work and the results have been shown to many groups in the form of slides and artifacts.
The show was reconstructed in 1997, using high resolution digitized images and a sophisticated computer-based editing system.
Film editor Yvonne Nagy assembled music, Grant's photography and narration to produce this attractive and informative video. You'll see how the fuselage is constructed, how the wire wheels are made, how the Ford engine is modified for flight, how a propeller is carved -- and more.
Proceeds from sales of this tape will be used to re-create, in video format, "Low and Slow for 60 Years," Grant's multi-projector show celebrating the Air Camper's 60th anniversary first screened at Oshkosh, 1989.
