(3/2/02 - email from Larry & Gerry McKinney lgmcspeed@earthlink.net)
Hi Grant, Judy Dasse called tonight. Marie Brock said she heard
Chris Egsgaard had passed away; have you heard anything through the Pietenpol guys ?
I've called, but no answer. I don't know any of his relatives, or who to
contact. If you hear anything, let me know.

(12/20/01) Hi Grant.
Just a quick E to let you and your fellow Pietenpolers know about our new web site www.fearlesswidget.com
My partner, actor and writer Michelle Goodeve, has owned her Piet for 22 years now, so we included a lot of info and pix on the bird including one entire page devoted to "Pietenpol Pix."
Hope you don't mind that we added a link to your web site. We figure you are the best place to send people who are looking for more info on Pietenpols.
Our best to you and yours during this holiday season.
Cheers till next time,

6 June 2000 - Hi Grant:
This is a picture of my Pietenpol on the day it had it's maiden flight.
The first flight occurred on May 23, 2000. It flew like a dream and I am thrilled with it's performance. It indicated 71 miles an hour. Not bad for a Piet.
Ken Perkins
kenvernaperkins@juno.com
CONGRATULATIONS KEN!
For those of you who don't know Ken, he's been working on his Piet for a number of years at his home in Olathe, KS. -- near Kansas City.
A regular at Brodhead, Ken is the fellow who makes those handsome anodized aluminum water pumps for Piet conversions. Why not email him and ask for a bigger version of this picture? -- I'm kinda running out of space on this server. ... gem

(5/17/99) Some GREAT news! -- Dick Alkire phoned here yesterday. He and Jim Hammond are making a mighty effort to get Jim's N13691 to Oshkosh '99. For those who don't know, 13691 is the oldest flying Air Camper. Ford powered, of course. (See your reprint of the '32 Flying and Glider Manual. Picture on page 10.) It's been to many EAA fly-ins, including the early ones at Rockford. Alan Rudolf purchased the ship from Bernard Pietenpol. It was built in 1933 by Ed Russert. Wood fuselage, original short version, one piece wing. Originally black. Allen Rudolf changed paint to silver wing, red fuselage. Split axle gear, no brakes, tail shid. Ford "A" powered. Galvanized steel 12 gal. fuel tank. Ford "B" carburetor. Prop by Harold Rehm, 76 x 44.
(5/1/0/99) Hi Grant, can you please put the date for Brussels in the events section of your web page? It is the '10th Annual' and will be held June 19th at Brussels, Ontario, Canada.
