Schloss Linderhof was also built by King Ludwig II. It was the only castle he had constructed that was completed in his life time. This castle was his fantasy retreat. The castle is, in Ludwig's style, very ornate and the grounds and gardens surrounding it are very beautiful. This castle was built between 1870 and 1878.
