In 1935, Bowlus -Teller showed the Papoose in this "commercial" configuration. It had a small writing desk, a Divan that converted into a Double Bed, 6-volt and 100-volt Lighting Circuits, Extension Cord and Tripod.

Hawley Bowlus was the shop foreman for Ryan Aircraft Company when the "Spirit of St. Louis" was made for Charles Lindbergh. There are about twenty Bowlus trailers remaining out of about 140 originally built.
