Welcome to the word puzzles, "If I Only Had The Words". Let me just tell you a little about these words puzzles. They are really fun, but really challenging! Basically, there is some type of paragraph. All of the phrases in the paragraph come from different Billy Joel songs. The trick is, you don't know where one ends and another begins. You just really have to know your lyrics! In order to "win", you must correctly identify where each phrase comes from in the correct order without missing any. You may only answer once, so if you aren't sure about one, it may be better to wait. But do send some even if you don't know them all. These are really difficult, so it may happen that no one gets it ALL right. In that case, the person who is the closest will win. All we ask is that you don't talk about this with other people online or in a message base or newsgroup. That would take all of the fun out of this really challenging game. And there are no real prizes anyway, besides having your name appear in our "past winners" list. But we warn you, its very addictive, and you may drive yourself crazy! Send all answer to BJoelScrap using the subject WORD PUZZLE by the date indicated on the question. Good Luck. And if you can think of your own puzzle, please send it there. We may use it! Below we gave a sample of how it works and how we want our answers to look.
There are 4 songs in this title:
Hiding in the darkness from lovers past you stand there pleadin' for the things you haven't got.
And this is what the winning answer should look like:
hiding in the darkness = Zanzibar
from lovers past = And So It Goes
you stand there pleadin' = Stiletto
for the things you haven't got = Captain Jack
Think you got it? Well, give it a try! Good luck!

Today I am brand new. While the night is true baby blue.
We've just begun a better day.
The light of the dawn a million miles away.
With a passionate start
I hope that in my own heart
my bad disposition never got in my way.
If you search for your latest success
the strain brings happiness, more or less.
