The title of our newsletter is No East or West. I borrowed that phrase from a hymn with the title In Christ There Is No East Or West. The words of the song are quite simple:
In Christ there is no east or west,
In him no north or south,
But one great fellowship of love,
Throughout the whole wide earth.
With God there is no tribe or race;
In him we all are one.
He loves us as his children through
Our faith in his dear Son.
In Christ now meet both east and west;
In him meet south and north.
All Christly souls are one in him
Throughout the whole wide earth.
Those who place their faith in Jesus as their Savior from sin are Christians. All Christians share that love of Jesus whether they live in Maryland, Iowa, Wisconsin, Washington or even on the island of Taiwan. Christians around the world make up the Holy Christian Church no matter what their race may be.
The title is simple but meaningful as we live in the East and remember you, our friends who live in the West. In Christ There Is No East or West.
