The Meter Reading mailing list is an open forum for exchange of ideas about meter reading. As moderator, I will gather news articles and web sites of interest from various sources and distribute them to the mailing list several times a week. Pretty dry. The success of the list will come from its contributors and how interactive they make it. All you need to do is contribute.
Depending on your feedback, this mailing list will either be moderated or un-moderated. Which do you prefer? If it is moderated, contributors submit articles to me, and I decide whether to forward to the whole list. Without moderation, anyone can submit anything they desire; as list owner, all I could do is turn off abusers of the system - once sent, I could not prevent their notes from being sent to all members. Or, if enough interest is generated, I could make two separate lists, one moderated, the other not.
As of 12/16/2001, very little interest in an open (un-moderated) list was generated, so by default messages all go to me. If you would like to post a message to the entire list, rather than reply, send your message to:
