In August a couple of years ago, a close friend of our family died in a tragic car accident when she fell asleep behind the wheel of her car. She was 36 years old and had no husband or children. She left behind three siblings, her parents, one nephew, and a grandmother. Although her family was very close and she had many extended family members, I was the one she visited after her death.
Almost a year had passed; it was the week of her death. She had been in my thoughts from time to time and I hadn't had too much contact with her family recently. I was sleeping beside my husband and I was dreaming at first. I could see this girl Nancy at the foot of my bed. At first she was looking at me and I was talking to her. After a while I could see her and myself walking near the pool in her yard. She was asking me about her family, how everyone was doing. Shortly after this we were standing at the foot of the bed. I was talking to Nancy and looking at my husband and I sleeping in the bed.
Then I realized I was no longer looking at the two of us having a conversation. I could see that I was at the foot of my bed with Nancy even though my body was lying in the bed. I started to shout at my body to wake up. I couldn't wake up. After a few minutes Nancy said to me that she had to go. She vanished from in front of me. I lay back down on the bed and immediately woke up. I was shaken, and I had to get out of bed and walk around. I told my husband about the dream in the morning.
Two days later we were camping and I received a phone call telling me that Nancy's grandmother died the night I was visited by Nancy. The time was almost exactly the time Nancy left me that night. I believe she was here to meet her grandmother when she died. She spent those last few moments visiting with me to see how everyone was doing in her family. Her departure about 15 minutes prior to her grandmother's actual time of death was long enough for her to go to her grandmother prior to her passing. I haven't heard from Nancy since then. As far as I know, no one in Nancy's family has had a similar experience, but they also have not had any more deaths in the family since then.
