License plates of the Principality of Monaco

There are only 23,000 registered motor vehicles in Monaco (capital: Monaco-ville), and this makes for a very difficult issue to obtain for a collection. There are some nice looking plates from this tiny dot of a nation (less than 2 square miles in size), located in Southern Europe. Most of the plates have the checkerboard national crest in red on white, with the registration number in blue. Most rear plates have the "PRINCIPAUTE DE MONACO" legend.
