Photograph of the Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG).  TAMUG was founded in the late 1970s and has been funded greatly by Galveston native and Owner of Mitchell Energy Corp., George Mitchell.  The Moody Foundation of Galveston has also been a major contributer to TAMUG.  TAMUG focuses on Marine Sciences/Studies, but was rated as one of the best liberal arts colleges in the United States in 1996.  TAMUG is also known as Moody College.
