The Galveston Cotton Exchange Building

The Galveston Cotton Exchange was established in the 1870s and was the first cotton exchange west of New Orleans.  The original Galveston Cotton Exchange building was built on this site in 1878.  It was demolished in 1941 to make way for the current Cotton Exchange Building.
