NYC viewed from a Suffern Perspective
This town of Suffern lies to the northwest of New York city on the
New Jersey side of the Hudson River. A bus ride of 45 minutes gets
one to the Bus Terminal at 42nd Street and from there to the Train Station
within Suffern.
A great way to visit Manhattan is to avail of the Weehawken Ferry on
the New Jersey side where you are dropped off at their 38th Street dock.
From there a bus is available (no extra charge) to drop you off and pick
you up from key routes throughout the city. No hassle with parking
- simply park your car on the Jersey side and enjoy the sights
that you will appreciate from this vantage point.
If one plans to take non Ferry connected bus rides within Manhattan make
sure you have plenty of coins to pay the fare - paper money is not appreciated.
Have a great visit?
Tell me a little about Suffern!
Suffern being located on the New Jersey border affords its residents
ready access to gas whose prices are more reasonable than are
typically found in New York state.
