Robert Fruit  (Ancestor)

Robert Fruit was born in either 1730 or 1732 and married Katherine McClure who was born probably in the late 1730's/early 1740's. Robert Fruit was listed as a Private in the Northumberland County, Pennsylvania Militia.1  Robert Fruit served as a member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Katherine (McClure) Fruit died in 1813, seven years prior to husband Robert Fruit who died at the age of 88 or 90 on February 4, 1820. Robert and Katherine (McClure) Fruit had two daughters born in 1774. It is very likely these two daughters were twins although one may have been born in early 1774 and the other in late 1774.

Sarah "Sally" Fruit

Daughter Sarah "Sally" Fruit later married William Pollock, brother of Thomas Pollock. William and Sarah "Sally" (Fruit) Pollock moved to Erie County, Pennsylvania in 1800 with the mother of  Thomas and William Pollock - Agness (Steele) Pollock along with three other sons of Agness (Steele) Pollock. This move followed the death of Charles Pollock (the father of Thomas and William Pollock) in 1795. From Erie County, Pennsylvania, William and Sarah "Sally" (Fruit) Pollock and Thomas and Margaret "Mary" (Fruit) Pollock moved to Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
