The Temple of our hopes, 
When will it come back?

The Ninth of Av is here,
Do you smell the smoke?
Do you hear the cries?
Do you see starved and slaughtered Jews?
Do you see the long line of Jewish captives?
Do you see the enemy with their torches and swords?
They shout: No more Jews, forever.

They are still shouting.
The Temple is still burning.
We are still Jews.
Forever.

When will the Temple Return.
When will the Jews return.
When will God return.

If we hope
If we remember
Soon, sooner than we dare to hope
The Temple will be ours again.
