Q. Where Can I Buy Macadamia Oil?

Macadamia nut oil is touted for its health benefits (raises the HDL or "good" cholesterol and lowers the LDL or "bad" cholesterol). From cooking oil (high monounsaturation and high smokepoint) to cosmetics (skin replenishment), macadamia oil is becoming a hot item in the marketplace. It appears that although America is the prime target market, all the macadamia oil businesses are set up overseas.

It seems like with the aging of America and all the money being spent on youthful appearance this would be a growing business. Is there nobody in the US interested in this business opportunity?

Here’s why. To make oil you have to have a major processing facility that processes a large quantity of nuts. The nuts that are submitted to be pressed for oil are the complete rejects - nuts that have no other use.
