CADtools Product Information

CADtools provides rapid response to a CADDSŽ customer's database maintenance and diagnostic needs in the following areas:

	Dramatically reduce database maintenance costs.
	Insure forward migratability of legacy part data.
	Provide reliable, quality assurance tools for customers who write software programs that modify a CADDS 4X or CADDS5 database (CVMAC, CVDORS, C or FORTRAN programs).
	Provide reliable, quality assurance and maintenance tools for customers who use data exchange or converter software.

CADtools currently has two products (the ckcad for CADDSŽ toolkit and the ckcamu for CADDS5Ž) and provides Data Base Consulting Services. The Consulting Services are provided free of charge to CADtools customers when the effort will improve the CADtools products or help to resolve data base problems between CADDS, CADDS5 and/or any third party vendor. ckcad and ckcamu are year 2000 compliant.

is a database diagnostic and maintenance toolkit for CADDS 4X and CADDS5 which is currently supported on Intel based PCs, Sun OS 4.1.3, Solaris 2.x, HP-UX, SGI IRIX, DEC Alpha OSF and IBM RS600 AIX platforms. The code for ckcad is highly portable and will be ported to any platform when there are ten or more customers requesting the code for that platform.

The price of ckcad is:

$2,000.00 US per year for the first site license.
$1,000.00 US per year for additional site licenses.
$50.00 US for additional licenses at any site.
Discounts are available for larger orders.

There are no maintenance fees and updates are provided free of charge during the licensing period.

is a database diagnostic and maintenance tool for Concurrent Assembly MockUps (CAMU) and their associated parts and subassemblies. This product is available on the same platforms as ckcad and is equally portable.

The price of ckcamu is:

$995.00 US for unlimited (not node locked) period license.
Software maintenance and upgrades are provided for $150.00 per year.

Shareware demonstation files for ckcad and ckcamu can be downloaded free of charge. These demonstation files can also be e-mailed to you if you have the MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) routines. You can download the source from ftp.andrew.cmu.edu:pub/mpack.
Each of the demonstration files contains the executable and two forms of documentation (MS Word for Windows 6.0 and HTML format). After extracting the files from the downloaded file and copying the files to the appropriate directory, you can type "ckcad -w" or "ckcamu config_loc -w" at the command prompt to verify that the code is working properly. If you receive a fatal message saying that you have no license please e-mail me (llande@aol.com) and we will e-mail you a license.
